Otherkin Roleplay will be using third person literate roleplay. Please keep this in mind when writing threads. If you are unsure of what is meant when saying third person literate, let me explain.
There are four types of creative roleplay. First person, third person, literate, and illiterate:
First person is using pronouns such as I/me/mine when describing your character. We are not using this method because it may cause confusion when multiple people are roleplaying in one thread and puts a large barrier between the interaction between characters.
Third person is using prounouns such as he/him/his, she/her/hers, they/them/theirs, it/that/its, etc. We are using this method because it allows for smoother interaction between characters.
Illiterate is describing actions through short sentances. For example, if a cat runs out a door, one would simply write "*cat runs out door*" to describe actions. This greatly reduces the amount of creativity, interaction that the writer has with their character, and reality of the action, which is why we're not using this roleplay method.
Literate is describing action through raw description and using proper English and grammar. For exmaple, if a cat runs out a door, one could write something like "The cat ran out the door." This makes an action seem more real an establishes more of a personal connection with the writer.
